A very worthy member of the big five, leopard thrive in the Zambeze Delta primarily because of our anti-poaching, huge game populations and ideal habitat.
They are extremely adaptable and we find them from the flood plains into the savanna and forested areas. This is one of the species our scientific team monitors and we have 2 collared female leopards.
This enables us to learn more about their movements, breeding and through good scientific management, we are always sure of a sustainable population. It is legal in Mozambique to hunt leopard with a game proof pack of hounds.
This is about as exciting a hunt as you can have. We have a small quota of 2 leopards per year and we have a very high success rate.
