Our journey began at the Outdoors Extravaganza, where hunters gathered to plan their next adventures and connect with outfitters from around the world.
For many visitors, it was their first introduction to the scale and diversity of the Zambeze Delta vast floodplains, thick riverine forests, and some of the finest Cape buffalo hunting Africa has to offer. Conversations centred around real hunting experiences, the challenges of the Delta terrain, and the kind of old-school safari that many hunters are searching for today.
Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF)
Houston brought momentum to the season. The interest in real wild African hunting remains strong, and it was clear that hunters are looking for destinations that still offer a true wilderness experience.
Our team spent long days sharing stories from past seasons tracking buffalo through tall grass, long walks behind experienced professional hunters, and evenings around the fire after successful hunts. The energy at the booth was a powerful reminder of how much the hunting community values tradition, skill, and respect for wildlife.
Dallas Safari Club (DSC)
Dallas Safari Club continues to be one of the most important stops on the international hunting calendar. The show provided an excellent platform to meet serious hunters planning future safaris and to reconnect with long-time friends of the Delta. This year the weather was great and the show was a success.
Many conversations focused on the upcoming season, new opportunities in Coutada 11, and what makes hunting in Mozambique so unique. From first-time African hunters to seasoned safari veterans, the response to Zambeze Delta Safaris was overwhelmingly positive.
It was also a special opportunity to reconnect with respected voices in the hunting world, including Craig Boddington, Dan Cabela, sharing conversations about African safaris, heritage, and the future of hunting.
During the shows we also had the privilege of catching up with Robbie Kroger, founder of “Origins “ exchanging conservation strategies and ideas with people like Robbie are always highly productive.
Safari Club International (SCI)
SCI brought together hunters from across the world, all united by a shared passion for adventure and the outdoors. It was an incredible opportunity to showcase the hunting heritage of the Delta and to highlight why it remains one of Africa’s premier destinations for Cape buffalo and plains game. This year Nashville was an exceptional show, new records were set for attendance and we were blessed to have a full booth from opening time to closing each day. It’s always a pleasure to catch up with friends and hunters that we have had the privilege of hosting and to the new folks we met who put their trust in us for there safaris in the upcoming seasons.
The show also allowed us to strengthen relationships with outfitters, and industry partners while sharing the spirit of the African bush with everyone who visited our booth.
Building the Season Ahead
Travelling from Dallas to Houston, through Atlanta, and onward to Nashville wasn’t just about attending shows it was about building the next chapter of the hunting season.
Every handshake, every story shared, and every safari booked brings new energy back to camp. As we return to Mozambique, preparations are already underway to welcome hunters to the Delta where wide horizons, challenging hunts, and unforgettable moments await.
To everyone who stopped by to visit us along the way thank you for being part of the journey. We look forward to seeing you in Africa soon. To every hunter that booked with us, thank you, you play a vital role in the conservation of the delta by giving our wildlife a value. A huge thank you from Mark Haldane and the team that rides for the ZDS brand.
