The climate ranges from tropical
to subtropical and varies in the
different regions of the country, but
while the inland areas are generally
slightly cooler they are more humid in
the rainy season than along the coast.
The rainy season broadly coincides
with the heat and humidity of the hot
months, between November–March,
though most provinces have some
rain over seven to nine months of
the year. The average temperature
for Mozambique all year-round is
82 degrees Fahrenheit (28 degrees
Celsius). Coastal temperatures during
the rainy season average 88 degrees
Fahrenheit (31 degrees Celsius).
Winter, from April to September,
is the dry season, and it is the best
time to visit the country. The average
temperature in the winter for the
coastal areas does not fall below 57
degrees Fahrenheit (12 degrees Celsius).
The southern parts of the country
are generally drier and less tropical
than the north, and the temperature
along the coast averages 80 degrees
Fahrenheit (27 degrees Celsius).
